F/V Drill Conductor Workshop in Panama City
Get the training you need to survive emergencies at sea!
AMSEA is conducting a ten-hour Drill Conductor workshop in Panama City, Florida on April 20, 2016 from 7:45 AM to 7:00 PM. This course meets the U.S. Coast Guard requirements for drill conductors on documented fishing vessels operating beyond the federal boundary line.
Instructor Bruce Dyleski will cover these topics:
* Cold water survival skills
* EPIRBs, flares, and maydays
* Man overboard recovery
* Fire fighting
* Immersion suits and PFDs
* Emergency drills
* Helicopter rescue
* Life rafts
* Abandon ship procedures
This workshop is FREE for commercial fishermen (after scholarship from the U.S. Coast Guard). The cost $175 for all others.
