These meetings will address the upcoming Sunset Review and the tariffs that are currently in place on imported shrimp from five countries. The Sunset Review will determine if tariffs will remain on imported shrimp for another five years. SSA will also have updates on issues that they are currently working on that will impact the domestic shrimp industry in 2016. Everyone associated with the shrimp industry should attend this very important meeting.
Southern Shrimp Alliance Town Hall meetings are about the industry and the individuals that make up our great shrimp industry. You are encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings as your opinions and concerns are what helps determine SSA’s annual agenda for protecting your livelihood.
There will be a question and answer session after the meeting and we also encourage everyone to ask questions during the various presentations.
Again, this is a very important meeting. Please make time to attend and participate. Without your participation, our industry could lose the tariffs we currently have.
