The Southern Shrimp Alliance is holding three Town Hall meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 29 and 30 in Texas. See Schedule below.

The Southern Shrimp Alliance is holding three Town Hall meetings on Tuesday & Wednesday, November 29 and 30 in Texas. The first one is scheduled for 10:00am in Brownsville (see address above). The second meeting is scheduled for 10:00am in Palacios. (see address above) and the third meeting will be held at Texas Gulf Seafood dock in Galveston. (see address above).
These meetings will address the upcoming Sunset Review and the tariffs that are currently in place on imported shrimp from five countries. The Sunset Review will determine if tariffs will remain on imported shrimp for another five years. SSA willbe at these meetings to help folks understand the importance of filling out the International Trade Commission’s questionnaires and to help folks with questions they may on how to complete the questionnaires and how to send them back to the ITC. Everyone associated with the shrimp industry should attend this very important meeting.
Southern Shrimp Alliance Town Hall meetings are about the industry and the individuals that make up our great shrimp industry. You are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings. Please make time to attend and participate. Without your participation, our industry could lose the tariffs we currently have.
