There has been a revision made to the CG Authorization Act of 2010 and with that one was made to the letter issued from Coast Guard Head Quarters from Oct of last year. Please see the link below for a copy of a secondary letter from CG HQ.
As always, it is recommended to see the USCG once a year or before the start of a season. The decal expiration date is merely a minimum safety standard.
