Help Assess the Hurricane Impacts on Florida

Hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton made direct landfalls with Florida causing damage to the shrimp industry. The Southern Shrimp Alliance is supporting the FWC Division of Marine Fisheries Management as it pursues every possible source of fishery disaster relief funding.

To assist FWC’s efforts, you may be contacted and surveyed on your fishery damages and losses. You can proactively submit contact information, a survey, and supporting documentation, such as pictures, receipts, and expense reports, at https://myfwc.com/conservation/special-initiatives/hurricane-relief/

If you have any questions, please contact the Division of Marine Fisheries Management at 850-487-0554 or our dedicated fishery relief email at HurricaneRelief@MyFWC.com.

Your participation will help document the need for additional relief resources.

The Southern Shrimp Alliance engages with NOAA at both regional and national levels on various issues, including disaster determinations, and will assist FWC in obtaining relief for those affected by these storms.
