EPA Discharge Permits (NPDES)

The EPA holds that routine discharges from fishing vessels into large bodies of water do not exceed the National Recommended Water Quality Criteria under the Clean Water Act. The Southern Shrimp Alliance opposes an EPA Vessel Incidental Discharge Permit requirement for shrimpers, since such discharges are addressed by other statutes.
