Duty Evasion

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is tasked with collecting duties on imports, including antidumping duties and additional duties imposed by the President under his Section 301 authority. However, a wide array of evasion schemes employed by importers result in substantial duties owed on imports going uncollected. The Southern Shrimp Alliance works with CBP to combat duty evasion and ensure meaningful trade relief.
